- Maintain a clean kitchen, properly wash, and sort soiled dishes, and prep food as needed. Keep dish area free of clutter and well organized.
- Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
- Maintain clean/dry floors throughout scheduled shift.
- Properly wash, stack, and store China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
- Change water in machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly use chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
- Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries.
- Maintain trash cans throughout shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
- Maintain the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
- Follow the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
- Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.
- Assist in cleaning of service, dining, and pantry areas
- Complete all other account specified needs under the direction of the assigned kitchen lead.
- Must be able to read labels on chemicals.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience needed. On-the-job training provided.
- Must have adequate reading abilities to read and understand diet cards, special diet menus, and other food service procedures.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to deal tactfully with staff, residents and visitors.
- Must be able to follow written instructions.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and appearance of work areas for regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Must attend required training and education sessions offered by the facility.
- Will be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty pounds with a team member or by self throughout the workday.
- Must obtain a Food Handlers Card within one month of hire date.
