Junior Golf Course Maintenance Groundskeeper

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Golf course maintenance/landscaping experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• Positive attitude working in a team environment.
• Must have some knowledge of the game of golf.
• Performs physical labor with small hand tools and riding mowers on various parts of the golf course.
• Weekend work required. Work shifts every other weekend.
• Performs course maintenance assignments as directed by the Turfcare Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
• Maintains effective working relationships with SVCA staff, board members, and the public.
• Promotes and supports workplace safety.
• Undertakes other duties as assigned.
• Must be 16 years of age and older with reliable transportation. Position is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions and able to lift 60+ pounds.
• Golf privileges are included.
• Full-time year-round and seasonal positions available.
• May become a full-time year-round position for the right candidate.

Work Experience/ Educational Requirements: (Suitable work experience may substitute for Educational Requirements)

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Previous work in Golf or Landscape maintenance

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move 70 lbs.
• Must successfully pass a background check
• Must have a valid WA State driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days
