The club offers ala carte and banquet options to its membership on a seasonal basis May through October. Job Summary The position of Dishwasher/Utility requires a conscientious team player; requires an individual to be professional and of a positive attitude, polite with excellent communication skills. Maintains neat professional uniformed appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules. Is able to take direction for new tasks. Washes and properly stores all cooking utensils, equipment, china, flatware and glassware. Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Removes all trash and cardboard. Cleans and safely stores all brooms, mops, and other cleaning equipment in their proper places. Job Duties: The Dishwasher/Utility person washes all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards. The Dishwasher/Utility person will be required to accept and put away deliveries which will require lifting cases of food and food service products. The Dishwasher/Utility person will set-up, break down and keeps up with the work load of the dish station. Maintaining proper levels of detergent, rinse and water in the three bay sinks for pots, pans and presoak, for the flatware tray. Ensuring that the dish machines are used properly and connected to the proper canisters of detergent and rinse agents. Running dishes through the dish machines in the proper way, using the proper racks and storing in the designated places after they have been cleaned. Cleans dish machine and dish area as needed to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Handles all china and glassware carefully to minimize breakage. Polishes all silverware, platters and chafing dishes. Performs other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, storing foods after delivery and cleaning coolers, freezers and storerooms. Continuously inspects floors in kitchen areas to assure they remain clean, clear of debris and dry. Collects trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage cans and washes and re-lines with new bags. Breaks down boxes, crates and removes debris. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Washes and cleans receiving, trash and other kitchen-related areas. Assists in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance list. Keeps chemical storage areas organized. Informs the Chef of any inventory needs for this station as they are noticed. Cleans and safely stores all brooms, mops, and other cleaning equipment in their proper places.
