Food Service Worker

Main Duties:
Help patients choose meals that match their dietary needs and preferences.
Assemble and deliver meal trays accurately and on time.
Take and monitor food temperatures; report issues promptly.
Pick up trays from patient rooms courteously.
Stock and clean food areas and pantries.
Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely.
Set up and serve food in cafeteria and catering settings.
Maintain cleanliness and follow sanitation and safety procedures (HACCP, infection control, etc.).
Transport food, carts, and supplies safely throughout the facility.
Follow all hospital, department, and safety policies.
Communicate patient concerns to the right staff.
Handle waste and recyclables properly.
Complete required logs, reports, and cleaning schedules on time.
Participate in meetings and staff training.
Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Required Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior food service experience.
Ability to follow simple instructions and safety guidelines.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be physically active (standing, walking, etc.).
- Experience in prior hospital setting.
