TITLE: Cook
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- ServSafe Certified or willing and able to take ServSafe Certification course required.
- Minimum 1 year previous institutional/restaurant cook experience required.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of Leadership, for the cook is responsible for the preparation and service of meals following all state and local guidelines for food safety and overseeing cleanliness and sanitation of dietary department.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: ServSafe Certified or willing and able to take ServSafe Certification course
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year previous institutional/restaurant cook experience required.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting. Also requires repetitive movement. This employee must be able to read. This position exhibits manual dexterity to operate standard cooking tools and equipment. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
