Meat Clerk (Full Time)The Meat Clerk works in the McCaffreys Meat Department and is responsible for serving customers in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Job Requirements Punctual and available to work days/evenings and weekends as scheduled (extended hours on occasion) Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance Adheres to company dress code (uniform, hat/hairnet)Equipment operation (weigh scales, pallet jack, loading dock, etc.)Cleaning and general maintenance of department and equipment.Strong oral & written communication skills with customers (in-person & telephone)Observes company code of conduct, policies and store rulesPreform other duties and assignments as directedMust be at least 18 years of age Key Responsibilities Speaking and engaging with customers in a calm, effective and friendly manner Answering product related questions, taking orders, selecting, weighing, pricing and wrappingServing customers with timely coordination and processing of ordersRaw meat preparation, packing, storage and inventory replenishment Counter presentation & product merchandisingKeep track of the need for wrapping materials, labels, etc. Maintaining an organized, clean and safe working environmentAdhere to all provincial health and civil code regulationsAssist with meat deliveries (loading, unloading, auditing/signing for orders received)Physical DemandsStand on feet, bend forward, stoop or walk for the majority of the time on duty Work in freezer and/or cooler for short periods of time Work in cool area for extended periods of time. Lift, push or pull cases/containers of product up to 50 pounds.
