Host Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival, in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Answer telephone calls and take reservations.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist as needed, and alert guests when their table is ready.
- Receive payments and process transactions according to established policies and procedures.
- Complete all opening and closing paperwork; perform assigned side work.
- Process take-out orders as needed and use suggestive selling techniques.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed; may also help with opening tasks such as assigning stations to servers.
- Ensure waitstaff stations are clean and stocked throughout the shift.
- Check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy; notify the manager if replacements are needed.
- Participate in cleaning or reorganization projects as necessary.
- Handle guest complaints, accommodate special requests, and assist with other duties as assigned.

- At least 18 years of age.
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
- Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday.
- Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties.
- This position may involve visual and auditory tasks, including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions.
