Janitor & Groundskeeper

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, and hard-working individual to join our team as a Janitor & Groundskeeper. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. In addition to janitorial duties, there is an opportunity to take on landscaping responsibilities, keeping the school's outdoor areas in pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Janitorial Duties:

* Clean and maintain school buildings, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas.
* Empty trash bins and replace liners.
* Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
* Ensure hallways and stairwells are safe, clear, and free from hazards.
* Report any maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing or electrical problems) to the appropriate department.
* Perform occasional deep cleaning tasks as assigned.

*Landscaping (Optional but Preferred):

* Maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
* Ensure outdoor areas, such as playgrounds and walkways, are free from debris.
* Water plants and maintain garden areas.
* Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks, such as leaf removal and snow shoveling.

**Qualifications:
* Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
* Landscaping experience is a plus, but not required.
* Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools (vacuum, floor scrubbers, mowers, etc.).
* Must pass a background check.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* **Speaking English is a plus
