North County Trade Tech High School has an immediate opening for a full-time front Receptionist. The ideal candidate is a very organized person who can perform well independently in a business casual atmosphere. The position start date will be immediately upon hire. A typical work day is from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM during the school year (204 days).
The successful candidate will:
Have a "Do whatever it takes attitude.
Have a pleasant demeanor.
Be professional.
Enjoy interacting with high school-age children and their parents.
Be punctual and ready to work.
Communicate professionally with students, parents, staff, vendors, and others by phone and email.
Possess or Pass First Aid/CPR Basic Certification.
Pass state security (FBI and DOJ) fingerprinting and drug testing prior to employment.
Provide a negative TB test prior to employment and renew every 4 years.
Report to Office Manager
Duties include, but may not be limited to:
Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
Maintain the reception area to ensure it is tidy and presentable.
Manage scheduling and appointments; update calendars.
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and copying.
Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (e.g., visitor logbooks, issuing badges).
Support staff as needed.
