Compensation: $21.75-$25.00/hr. (DOE)

Schedule: Evenings

member of the Bar Down team at the base of Peak 7, you'll ensure every plate, glass, and utensil meets

our exacting cleanliness standards, directly supporting our chefs in delivering memorable mountain

dining experiences from sunrise breakfasts to lively apres-ski meals. This role goes beyond washing

dishes; it's about upholding our Sharing Smiles philosophy by maintaining the sparkling clean

environment that lets our culinary team shine, and our guests relax into their vacation moments.

We're seeking team-oriented individuals who take pride in their work, whether they're operating

commercial dish equipment, restocking kitchen stations, or assisting with basic food prep. No prior

experience is required; we'll provide comprehensive training for candidates who bring reliability, a

Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial dishwashers and hand-wash kitchen tools, plates, glasses, and utensils to sanitation
  • standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized dish stations (separate clean/dirty items, refill soap/sanitizer).
  • Assist with kitchen cleanliness: Sweep/mop floors, empty trash, and wipe down surfaces.
  • Restock clean dishes, cookware, and utensils for chefs and servers during peak service.
  • Break down and deep clean kitchen equipment as scheduled.
  • Partner with cooks and servers to ensure steady flow of clean items.
  • Assist with basic food prep (e.g., washing produce, simple chopping) when needed.
  • Help receive/organize deliveries (food, supplies) and store them properly.
  • Follow all health/safety protocols (proper chemical handling, PPE use).
  • Report equipment issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Adhere to BGV's appearance standards (uniform, name badge).
  • Embody BGV's Sharing Smiles philosophy through teamwork.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working with hot water, chemicals, and commercial dish machines
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak ski season shifts
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
  • No prior experience required - we'll train you!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience in dishwashing, kitchen support, or janitorial roles
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchens (restaurant, resort, or hotel)
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe training a plus)
  • Ability to multitask during high-volume meal periods
  • Interest in learning kitchen skills for potential advancement
  • Spanish language skills (to collaborate with bilingual teams)
  • Passion for mountain/ski culture (fun for chatting with guests!)
  • Previous experience in resort or high-volume dining
