FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Term: Continuing beginning in the 25/26 SY

Hours/Schedule: 6 hours per day/Monday-Friday

Contract/Salary: Based on the 24-25 PSE Salary Schedule

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit.
  • Ability to relate to youth, faculty and public in a courteous manner.
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively with co-workers.

Specific Duties:

  • Must be able to push lunch carts to and from building(s).
  • Serve breakfast and lunch while interacting with students in a positive manner.
  • Complete daily assigned list to set up for lunch.
  • Help with setting up both breakfast and lunch including salad bars.
  • Assist others when needed.
  • Operate dishwasher, wash utensils, trays, and effectively other kitchen equipment.
  • Clean work area and participate in cleaning kitchen facilities, including lifting and mopping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Employees must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Physical ability to lift 25 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
