Elementary School Evening Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Evening Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our students and staff at Dell Rapids Elementary School!

Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, offices, and other designated areas.
• Dust/sanitize furniture, desks, and other surfaces.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including restocking supplies.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstery.
• Wash windows, glass doors, and walls.
• Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
• Secure the building by locking all doors and windows at the end of the shift.
• Perform other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Help complete snow/ice removal when necessary.
• Clean up after activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a custodial or cleaning role.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
