We are looking for a Service Manager toanize daily operations and motivate staff.

Red Sauce Pizza is a busy, growing pizzeria serving high-quality pizza created with care on NE Fremont St in Portland, OR. Our staff is friendly and diverse and our shop is queer-owned. We pride ourselves on using produce from local farms, crafting seasonal salads and pizza specials, and providing excellent, friendly service to all folx. We aremunity-focused and we love hosting events and fundraisers for our neighbors andmunity.

Job Brief

We are looking for a Service Manager toanize daily operations and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in restaurants, catering and/or in the hospitality industry.

You should be able to demonstrate your leadership and management skills in either job history or a great cover letter that outlines how your skills outshine your work history. The ideal candidate is a career hospitality professional who is eager to join a young restaurant with amazing growth potential. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boostmunity engagement, and help expand our hours and grow the business.

Service Manager Responsibilities

Operations:

Managing day-to-day operations

Coordinate with vendors and order inventory supplies as needed, including perishables and non-perishables

Ensure all restaurant areas are clean and tidy, providing a safe and inviting space for customers that meets sanitation and cleaning standards

Attend regular meetings with owners to discuss operations, business development opportunities, marketing and uing events

Create an Operating Procedures Manual for restaurant including vendor information, ordering procedures,anizational knowledge and operating procedures

Develop a thorough understanding of our food options, beverages, merchandise, and promotions to drive sales, service and have knowledgeable conversations with customers

Identify and implement ideas and strategies to grow business

Administrative work such as updates, email correspondence, menu updates, delivery service admin, ing, etc.

Event planning and support. Grow fundraising event program, assist with pizza school planning and administration, assist with concept and execution of other special events.

People:

Training staff in restaurant operations and menu familiarity

Conducting regular performance assessments, feedback, and goal setting exercises to improve operational performance

Read and understand employee manual for policy information

Team Management:

Check weekly shift scheduling for all staff, identifying areas w staffing might need to be updated

Advise staff on best practices for resolving customer issues and providing excellent customer service

Monitor and manage staff, ensuring regularmunication with all employees aimed at making store operations efficient

Schedule and conduct individual reviews and group staff meetings

Customer Experience:

Obtain customer feedback and make appropriate business developments or changes to meet evolving customer needs

Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

Service Manager Requirements

Qualifications:

Demonstrated work experience or great cover letter which details how your skills outshine your work history.

2-3 years of relevant experience in food and beverage or hospitality management or support roles

Demonstrated enthusiasm for pizza and the Red Sauce Pizza brand

Availability:

Evening and weekend availability required. Weekend is Weds/Thurs weekly.

Extreme reliability required.

Skills:

Excellent munication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team and convey Red Sauce s message effectively to all our customers

Ability to take direction and implement restaurant operations

OLCC and Food Handlers permits required

Accurately process transactions in the POS system and reconcile till

Manage POS system and other business tools using online interfaces and dashboards

General puter proficiency using web platforms to manage template-based sites and with word processing platforms

Excellent and demonstratedanizational skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently

Approach:

Positive and proactive approach to customer service aimed at engaging with customers, understanding and meeting their needs, and going the extra mile to make their day and maintaining positive boundaries

Practice self-reflection and ask for feedback on performance; know and hone your personal strengths and seek opportunities for growth

Highly anized with excellent time management skills

Strong munication skills with management, employees, and customers

Flexible, adaptable, tech-savvy, and capable of learning new applications quickly

Acute attention to detail and healthy respect or cleanliness and sanitation

Motivated self-starter

This is a full-time position, at least 32 hours a week. We seek a motivated individual who can see Red Sauce's potential for growth and who is excited and eager to help lead our team, engage ourmunity, and grow our business in an ethical manner.
