Child And Youth Program Custodian

The Custodian performs a variety of cleaning, housekeeping, and semi-skilled duties for CYP facilities: facility cleaning, equipment maintenance, laundering, minor facility repairs, outdoor maintenance; and maintaining inventories of cleaning supplies. They deliver supplies, merchandise, and equipment to other CYP facilities. As needed, they move furniture and/or program equipment, and assists with event setup (e.g., setting up tables and chairs. A qualified candidate possesses the following:

• Knowledge of a variety of chemical and cleaning agents.
• Skill to use a variety of household and industrial equipment and attachments.
• Skill to operate, clean, and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment.
• Physical ability to move furniture, lift and move objects over 50 1bs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skill.
