The name derives from the particular manner of hospitality, one that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel discreet, refined, generous. Our hotel has 97 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The street-side seafood restaurant and second floor cocktail bar will be venues that are open to the public. The Apartment and The Rooftop are spaces reserved exclusively for guests and friends of guests. Purpose of the Role The Minibar Attendant / Houseman Relief is responsible for maintaining guestroom minibars by restocking items, recording consumption, and ensuring cleanliness and accuracy. In addition, this position supports the housekeeping team with general cleaning, setup, and supply duties throughout both front and back of the house areas. This dual-role team member provides essential service coverage, acting as relief support to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Minibar Duties: Restock minibars daily according to established par levels. Accurately record consumed items for proper guest billing. Ensure all minibars are clean and fully operational. Report any maintenance issues or discrepancies to the supervisor. Track inventory and assist in monthly minibar inventory counts. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the minibar storage area. Houseman Relief Duties (Front & Back of House): Deliver linens, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest rooms and service areas. Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, back corridors, and staff areas. Assist with setup and breakdown of guest requests. Remove soiled linen and trash from guest floors and service closets. Replenish housekeeping closets as needed. Support room attendants as needed during busy periods. Report any damage, safety issues, or lost-and-found items promptly. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: Previous experience in housekeeping or minibar operations preferred. Basic math and inventory skills. Good communication and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and handle physical demands (lifting, bending, walking). Professional and courteous demeanor. Must be dependable, punctual, and detail oriented. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and guest privacy. Flexible hours are required, including holidays, weekends and supervisory coverage when needed. Understanding of the English language. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 lb. without assistance. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Remain in stationary position for extended periods of time.
