CULTA is currently looking for our next Custodian to join our hard working Facilities team in Cambridge, MD! As the Custodian will be directly under the supervision and direction of the Compliance Director. They must adhere to a published daily cleaning schedule to ensure that CULTA facilities remain presentable to guests, and to ensure that the risk of contamination to production areas are controlled. They will keep a detailed log of duties performed for review by supervisor(s). Must ensure all tasks are being performed efficiently, correctly, and in accordance with all current SOP's. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will clean and refill facility foot baths each morning, and as needed throughout the course of each workday. Will clean and disinfect lavatories; to include any toilets, sinks, and showers daily. Will sweep and wet mop all common hallways to prevent contamination and buildup of biological plant materials. Will escort third-party vendors when completing on-site repairs in accordance with COMAR regulations. Will conduct daily maintenance of walls, floors, stairs to include removal of marks, debris, etc. that detracts from overall appearance. Will monitor large dumpsters and coordinate with direct supervisor when conditions merit immediate attention due to conditions (over-filled/incorrectly used). Will remove any refuse that is located in facility rooms/hallways/loading docks when detected (old/empty boxes, bottles, containers, etc.). May be asked to assist other staff with internal maintenance tasks (filter replacements/equipment maintenance), as needed. Will complete all required logs to document activities. May be asked to assist Processor and/or Cultivation Staff with internal maintenance, such as filter replacement, routine equipment servicing, etc. Repair damaged perimeter fence privacy mesh and trim trees/shrubs/grass that may prevent proper surveillance, as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED required. Higher level of education a plus. 1+ year experience working in a regulated cannabis cultivation facility, or a custodial-related field preferred. Ability to work on feet and remain active for long durations, work on a ladder or raised mobile platform, as well as be able to lift 50lbs. or more regularly each day. Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, stand, reach. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, the ability to follow direction well, and coordinate with staff in other departments to lessen impact of cleaning activities on production schedule. Must be able to qualify as a registered agent with the State Commission and may not have any violent or drug related felony convictions.
