Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings, make up this vibrant community and also encompasses an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center. We are seeking a Housekeeper . This role provides a clean, safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors.

This position includes;

  • Casual / On Call

Responsibilities

  • Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
  • Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
  • Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
  • Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
  • Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
  • Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer
  • Consistently follows safe body mechanics
  • Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
  • Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
  • Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
  • Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
  • Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
  • Communicates need for equipment repairs.
  • Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
  • Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.

Required Qualifications

  • less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or
  • GED
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions
