Trius Winery Restaurant — Niagara-on-the-Lake’s only MICHELIN Guide 2024 recommended restaurant — is seeking an inspiring Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team.
In this role, you'll guide a dedicated team of attentive servers, ensuring every guest experience reflects the excellence we’re known for. Whether you’re managing service in our contemporary dining room or overseeing the relaxed elegance of our seasonal Wine Garden overlooking the vineyard, you'll bring warmth, energy, and leadership to every shift.
This teammate will be responsible for:
- Driving Business Performance : Develop and execute strategies to achieve across restaurant revenue streams. Oversee P&L, manage budgets, labor costs, and inventory controls.
- Operational Leadership : Lead daily restaurant operations including scheduling, payroll, cash handling, maintenance, and service execution. Ensure operational policies and service standards are upheld.
- Team Development : Recruit, train, and coach a high-performing front-of-house team. Provide mentorship to supervisors and ensure service excellence at every level.
- Guest Experience & Service : Champion guest satisfaction through hands-on service leadership and effective resolution of concerns. Lead pre-shift meetings and support flawless event/function execution.
- Sales : Use your knowledge of our wine and culinary offerings to enhance the guest experience and encourage thoughtful selections.
- Health & Safety Compliance : Maintain a safe and compliant work environment through proactive health and safety practices and participation in the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
We're looking for a teammate with:
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in upscale or winery dining
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, labor, and inventory
- Skilled in team leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Exceptional guest service skills and a passion for hospitality
- Knowledge of wine and wine service is a strong asset
