JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The City of Mill Valley is pleased to welcome applications for Maintenance Worker II - Parks Maintenance.

As a Maintenance Worker II in our Parks Division, you will play a hands-on role in keeping Mill Valleys beautiful outdoor spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for the community. Working under general supervision, you will take on a variety of skilled tasks, including pruning trees, mowing lawns, maintaining park structures, and supporting restoration efforts.

Your daily work may take you from trail maintenance in the scenic foothills of Mt. Tamalpais to creek restoration projects along the historic Corte Madera Creek to caring for athletic fields with stunning views of Richardson Bay. This is active, outdoor work that keeps you moving and involves bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and navigating varied terrain across both developed parks and natural open spaces.

SALARY & BENEFITS

$4,834.00 to $6,479.00 Monthly (DOE)

Health Insurance The City offers a Kaiser Health Plan and the Western Health Advantage HMO (City pays the cost of premiums up to the equivalent of the Kaiser Family Plan).
Dental Insurance The City pays full cost of Delta Dental PPO Plan coverage.
Leave The City offers generous vacation, sick, holiday leave, and Paid Family Leave.
Retirement The City contracts with CalPERS for retirement benefits and also provides an Retirement Health Savings Plan.
Optional 457 Deferred Compensation Plan - the City offers up to $600/year in matching contributions.
Other the City pays the premiums for a $50,000 life insurance plan, as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Other benefits include free/discounted use of City recreational facilities and programs.
