Position: Server at SHIA
As a Server at SHIA, you will play a key role in delivering a high-end dining experience, ensuring our guests feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive. You are welcoming them into your home. You will be responsible for providing outstanding service, assisting with menu explanations, and enhancing the overall dining atmosphere. You are thoughtful, meticulous, and well-spoken, and you hold yourself and the fine dining industry to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service, engaging with guests to create personalized dining experiences, without needing to be the star of their show.
- Familiarize yourself with our diverse menu, including cocktails/wine and food pairings. This includes independent study with given materials, attending group training, and more.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and a perfect dining experience.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in fine dining and upscale service standards.
- Manage tables efficiently, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the dining area, adhering to all health regulations.
- Predict the needs of our guests, ensuring no one is left wanting.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in a server role at high-end or fine dining establishments, with a strong focus on guest service. You should understand the basic standards of service, and be able to perform them without oversight. Your references will be called!
- Knowledge of Korean food and beverage pairings, including a basic understanding of wine, soju, makgeolli, and spirits.
- Proven ability to engage with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tables and requests efficiently.
- A passion for the dining experience and a commitment to excellence in service.
Work Location: On-site at our Union Market location
