ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Works rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations of Cefe Valenzuela and the JC Elliot Landfill.
- Supervise crews by establishing work schedules and overseeing assigned transfer station and landfill activity, adjusting assignments and work
hours as required to meet collection schedule.
- Monitor performance and leave usage, initiating corrective and/or
disciplinary action as required.
- Provide input to performance evaluations.
- Work with Maximo computer software to generate, input, change work order status and work order related information.
- Hold periodic safety and customer service meetings with assigned employees.
- Investigate and document employee incidents, accidents, and on-the-job injuries.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of landfill related experience
- A valid Texas Class B driver's license is required
- Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas Class B driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
