Seeking qualified full-time Dietary Cook! The Dietary Cook will be responsible for maintaining high standard food preparation according to prescribed menu and dietary plans.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare all food dishes/items in sufficient quantities to cover all service requirements
· -Properly times food preparation to meet service schedules
· -Observes the standardization of recipes and portion control to prevent food wastage and assure quality preparation and presentation
· -Uphold sanitary standards in handling all dishes, kitchen equipment and food items
· -Instructs and supervise the dietary aide staff in food preparation procedure and techniques
Requirements:
· - Completed Job Application
· -Physical exam (within 1 year)
· -2 Step TB, Followed by 1 Step TB (within 1 year)
· -Knowledge in the principles of sanitation, safety, and general kitchen management
· -One year of formal or on-the-job training in institution food preparation preferred
· -Knowledge or training in estimating food quality and quantity, storage of food and kitchen supplies.
· -High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
· -Ability to read, write and follow oral and writing instructions
Desirable Requirements:
· - Flexible to work morning, afternoon shifts
· - Able to accommodate overtime as needed
· - Supervisory experience in dietary staff desired
