Position Summary:

Responsible for performing all duties related to maintaining a clean safe and secure work environment. This includes all facility interiors and exteriors, from floor to ceiling. Responsible for maintaining a high level of awareness as they move throughout the facility to address and report matters relating to security. Responding to emergent situations in these areas and using good judgment in addressing and reporting them is critical. Requires good communication and customer service skill, as communicating with all company staff and management occurs on a daily basis. Performing all duties at a high level is a must, to set an example for other staff. Expected to be able to assist the facility coordinator and supervisor with little over-sight and to fill-in when they are not available.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
  • Hourly Rate: $16.00
  • Schedule: 5am - 2pm Monday - Friday and every other weekend rotation
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility while utilizing current best practices and with limited oversight.

  • Participates in the security of the NHO campus by providing trained observation to the facility, access monitoring, document disposal and response to alerts such as door props, alarms, denied access and other needs such as escorting.

  • Fill in for supervisor and direct all staff in the daily duties required of the staff.

  • Assists the supervisor in ensuring all staff are accomplishing all daily tasks and meeting emerging needs.

  • Communicates routinely with supervisor and coordinator to relay information related to inventory, maintenance, and personnel.

  • Other related cleaning, safety, and security related duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Oversees and delegates facilities specialist I daily tasks including the crosscheck of that work

  • Identify needs/problems around the facility with a proactive approach and communicate such issues to supervisor.

  • Be available outside of normal business hours and schedule to assist with facility needs including the absence of a supervisor.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility

  • Perform administrative functions related to facilities department responsibilities

  • Coordinates facilities specialist I to provide additional building support as needed

  • Primary POC for designated building in regard to any facilities related issues

  • Responsible for training new and temporary employees on daily tasks and all job responsibilities

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent amount of related experience required.

  • One year of experience in related duties.

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English language preferred

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers. The office environment is an open workspace with individual workstations. The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. This position is a:

  • Sedentary position with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 11 pounds; requires frequent lifting of less than 1 pound; and may require standing less than or equal to 1/3 of the day .
