Industrial Cleaner

Job Summary: The Industrial Cleaner at TimberTech plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing cleaning duties within the production facility to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Cleaning:
• Perform daily cleaning tasks in manufacturing areas, including sweeping and use of the Central Vac System.
• Clean production equipment, machinery, and tools.
• Ensure cleanliness of workspaces
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly.
2. Quality Assurance:
• Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness to support product quality and safety.
• Report any issues or irregularities observed during cleaning that may impact product quality or safety.
3. Safety Compliance:
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
• Identify and report safety hazards or potential risks to the Production Supervisor.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule cleaning activities without disrupting production schedules.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing.
• Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
• Effective communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.

Working Conditions:

• The Industrial Cleaner may work in an industrial manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to dust, chemicals, and loud machinery.
• The position may require the ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
