Porters Neck Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our team! This position is responsible for a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies in the Food and Beverage Department. The Utility Worker/Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.
This position pays $15/hr and the schedule is Sunday-Wednesday.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dishwasher:
- Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.
- Sets up the dish and pot washing area
- Prepares for dish washing and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
- Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and other areas of the kitchen including mopping and sweeping, according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Empties trash containers as required.
- Assist with meal deliveries and delivery process as needed.
- Works buffet line as needed.
- Trains in prep cook area as time allows
- Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness, maintains orderly, safe, sanitary, and secure work area at all time and follows all established safety and quality control procedures.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand direction in English
- Ability to walk/stand for 100% of the work day
- Ability to life and carry up to 35lbs independently and push/pull carts and trays weighing up to 100lbs
- Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent experience
