We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Custodian/Maintenance Worker to join our team at Northside ISD. This is a hands-on, all-in-one position responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional school environment - both inside and out. Ideal for someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty and takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Custodial Duties:

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors

• Collect and dispose of trash

• Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)

• Perform deep-cleaning tasks during school breaks

Maintenance Duties:

• Perform basic repairs and general upkeep of facilities (e.g., carpentry, painting, door/window repair)

• HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance

• Basic plumbing (sink clogs, toilet repairs, etc.)

• Electrical repairs (changing bulbs, fixing outlets, etc.)

• Monitor and inspect building systems and equipment for safety and functionality

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner

Groundskeeping:

• Mow, edge, and maintain lawns, playgrounds, and exterior areas

• Trim shrubs, weed flower beds, and remove litter from grounds

• Maintain sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas (including snow/ice removal if applicable)

• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment
