Paint Booth Cleaner

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking multiple Booth Cleaners at Louisville, KY Ford KTP SUV. These individuals will be responsible for cleaning activity/handling solid and hazardous waste in an automotive manufacturing facility. General activity includes janitorial activities, lifting, water blasting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, inspection of waste storage areas and documentation as required. Scheduling subject to union seniority.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Utilizes solvents, high pressure water blasters up to 40,000 psi.
• Performs manual scraping/chipping to clean walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc.
• Executes minor maintenance.
• Vacuums and wipe interior and exterior of equipment.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Performs other specialized paint booth cleaning jobs as required.
• Performs lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop.
• Performs confined space entry procedures for safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned.
• Performs general janitorial functions such as office and restroom cleaning.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6" to the ground.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
• Lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape, and weight.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
