Job Summary

Logistics, Transportation & Parking has an opening for a temporary Custodian II.

This position works outdoors in parking structures and will have frequent exposure to various seasonal environmental conditions. Cold, wet, snowy or icy conditions should be anticipated.

Responsibilities*

Clean assigned work areas, including grounds, restrooms, and public areas.
Operate custodial equipment, including wet and dry vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, floor scrubbers, and power washers.
Spot wash walls, doors, windows, and mirrors.
Dust light fixtures, vents, and vertical surfaces while standing on floor or step ladder.
Empty trash containers.
Sweep and wet mop floors and stairways; move and arrange furniture and furnishings; and other related duties.
Report items in need of repair.
Remove snow and ice from entry ways.

Required Qualifications*

High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with and follow instructions from co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
Must have a positive attitude with good customer relation skills.
Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.
Ability to move/transport up to 50 pounds.
Ability to prioritize work.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Licensure & Certification

A valid driver's license is required.

Work Schedule

This is an day shift position, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Friday - Tuesday.
