Receives general supervision from supervisory staff.
Exercises functional supervision over lower-level custodial staff.
EXAMPLES OFESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES --Essential responsibilities
And duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide lead supervision over assigned custodial staff; delegates work assignments; reviews work in progress; provides training and direction as needed.
Oversees and participates in custodial work in the care, maintenance and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities.
Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities, fixtures, sinks, urinals and toilets; replenish supplies in restrooms.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip and polish floors; vacuum m and shampoo carpets. Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures and equipment.
Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles.
Move and arrange furniture and equipment, set-up rooms for conferences and meetings.
Experience and Training Guidelines
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Two years of custodial experience.
Training
Completion of formal or informal education or training which provides the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
