Provides general support to the Center for New Students at Harper College related to scheduling student appointments for Orientation and advising. Provides accurate and timely information related to new student programs and Orientation as well as general advising services. Answers questions about Orientation and advising to internal stakeholders. Provides high quality customer service to students, faculty and staff. Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience: One year general office experience required. Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using different technology/software platforms and familiarity with student systems preferred. Schedules and maintains appointments in scheduling software to facilitate 24/7 access to Orientation appointments in the Student Portal. Supports college programs such as peak time registration times, add/drop week, Hullabaloo and info nights. Duties include assisting students with scheduling and registration, providing input about new student processes, including financial aid and testing. Assists in organizing Orientation programs for new students: check-in, scheduling rooms and/or organizing materials for advisor use. Accesses, researches and prints student information from student systems for advisors. Tracks student contacts and monitors appointment and staffing availability and needs. Requests materials for advising and orientation programs as needed. Follows privacy and confidentiality guidelines with student record information. Performs related duties as assigned.
