Prep Cook

• Food handler's card is preferred but not required

Security Clearance:

• IMG Academy requires enhanced security screening. Extended work opportunities will be available for team members who successfully pass a fingerprint background scan.

Work cannot begin until clearance is obtained. We will assist in facilitating the necessary steps, but you are responsible for completing the process to be eligible for shifts.

Must be eligible to pass a Level 2 background check and fingerprint scan

Must have reliable transportation to/from campus daily

Must be able to work on your feet in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

Position Overview:

• IMG Academy is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cooks to support daily food production for student-athletes, staff, and guests. This role involves preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean prep area, and assisting the culinary team as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh ingredients according to recipes and portion guidelines
• Wash, chop, and store produce, proteins, and other items as needed
• Keep prep station stocked, sanitized, and organized throughout service
• Work efficiently alongside chefs and kitchen team to support meal service
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• Assist with receiving deliveries and proper storage of inventory

Qualifications:

• Previous prep or kitchen experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Dependable and punctual

General responsibilities when working a Cook job assignment can include:

• Cook food items according to recipes and food production standards
• Ensure food is safely prepared and at the proper temperature for consumption
• Keep cooking station clean and orderly during shift
• Comply with all sanitation and safety standards to ensure a safe work environment
• Safely use and operate cooking appliances and utensils
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service for guests as needed
• Assist in ordering and receiving food products for the kitchen as needed
• Work in a busy environment and standing for long periods of time
