Maintenance Worker II - District Wide

Qualifications: Demonstrated English reading, writing and math skills. Holds valid Motor Vehicle license. Has ability to complete training in the use of equipment listed below. Has basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems. Maintenance experience required.

Reports to: The Facilities Director

Job Goal: To maintain and improve the condition of buildings and grounds of the district schools and their supporting facilities, in order to provide a safe environment for students, employees and citizens.

Working Conditions: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, work at heights up to 15 feet off the ground, work on uneven surfaces, and work more than 8 hours. Must be able to shovel snow, climb ladders, operate manual and power tools, mowers, snow blowers, large vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, snow plows and pick-up trucks. Must be able to perform visual inspections to assess job(s) to be done and evaluate work quality. Must drive in all types of weather. Must be able to come in for emergencies without advance notice at any time of day or night Required to work on slippery surfaces indoors and out, and work alone. May be exposed to cleaning solutions, floor finishing products, bacteria, molds and insects.

Rate of Pay: $23.54 per hour, 52-week position. Hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
