Job Summary

As the Sous Chef, youll play a vital leadership role in a full-scratch kitchen serving a fast-paced, high-profile corporate catering account. Working alongside the Executive Chef, youll help shape daily menus, execute premium catering events, and lead culinary innovation with a focus on quality, creativity, and service excellence. This is a MondayFriday position with paid holidays, offering stability, work-life balance, and unlimited growth potential within a company that values entrepreneurial spirit and forward-thinking culinary talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing food and labor costs while maintaining high operational standards

  • Assist in planning and developing seasonal and client-specific menus

  • Lead the preparation and execution of high-end catering events, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met

  • Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with our marketing and culinary innovation teams

  • Supervise and train hourly kitchen staff, fostering a positive, productive work environment

  • Uphold all sanitation, safety, and food quality standards in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent hands-on experience

  • 2+ years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience

  • Experience in catering and high-volume, complex foodservice operations

  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, scratch cooking, batch production, food cost controls, and presentation standards

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and basic internet tools

  • ServSafe certification preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to client satisfaction and continuous improvement
