Job SummaryAs the Sous Chef, youll play a vital leadership role in a full-scratch kitchen serving a fast-paced, high-profile corporate catering account. Working alongside the Executive Chef, youll help shape daily menus, execute premium catering events, and lead culinary innovation with a focus on quality, creativity, and service excellence. This is a MondayFriday position with paid holidays, offering stability, work-life balance, and unlimited growth potential within a company that values entrepreneurial spirit and forward-thinking culinary talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Executive Chef in managing food and labor costs while maintaining high operational standards
Assist in planning and developing seasonal and client-specific menus
Lead the preparation and execution of high-end catering events, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with our marketing and culinary innovation teams
Supervise and train hourly kitchen staff, fostering a positive, productive work environment
Uphold all sanitation, safety, and food quality standards in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent hands-on experience
2+ years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
Experience in catering and high-volume, complex foodservice operations
Strong knowledge of culinary trends, scratch cooking, batch production, food cost controls, and presentation standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and basic internet tools
ServSafe certification preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to client satisfaction and continuous improvement
MondayFriday schedule with occasional evening/weekend events
