Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and upkeep tasks across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and proactive individual capable of handling a wide range of duties to ensure our base remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This role is essential for the day-to-day smooth functioning of all base facilities and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the base grounds, including landscaping, trash removal, and general upkeep.
Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose common issues with equipment and facilities, and either resolve them or escalate more complex problems to the appropriate specialist.
Preventative Care: Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain and care for all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition and properly stored.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, and assist in maintaining a safe work environment for everyone.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a general maintenance or similar role. Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is essential.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.
Leadership: The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb, and stoop for extended periods.
Must be able to work in various conditions, including exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and all types of weather.
