Dishwasher/Porter - Union Sq

Mercer Street Hospitality is looking for an AM or PM Dishwasher/Porter to be part of the opening team for an exciting new seafood concept located in the W Union Square Hotel!

Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old
Willing and able to work varying shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays (Flexible schedule and overnight shifts also available).
Able to stand for long periods
Able to work unsupervised
Able to follow directions and work in a team environment
Understanding of restaurant operational procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware
Load, run, and unload the dish machine
Monitor dish machine water temperature and detergent/sanitizer/chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle
Keep the dish machine cleaned and report any functional or mechanical problems
Keep dish room, food preparation, and production area clean and organized as required
Properly washes, sanitizes and stores all tableware and kitchenware
