Medical Claims Specialist - Dental Clinic - Bilingual

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.71 /hour
This is a non- exempt (hourly) position
Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicants salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirements for the job.
This role is on-site. Schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Position Summary
Review claims for irregularities, accuracy and completeness. This position, under general supervision, is
responsible updating records and preparing required reports; assisting in claims cost control; reviewing
claims for eligibility and contacting individuals about medical claims and provide counsel regarding
benefits and coverage.
Essential Functions
Review medical claims and verify eligibility
Process and approve transactions; prepare related reports; research and resolve discrepancies
Monitor, analyze, audit, and reconcile a variety financial information related to medical claims
Serves as a para-professional advisor to departments on assigned duties and related issues and
maintains confidential information
Respond to and resolve internal and external questions and concerns
Create and maintain paper and electronic files
Create, review, interpret, and maintain a variety of records, systems, and logs
Assist in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, laws and regulations
Assist with any patient registration duties as needed
Assist in special projects with higher level staff
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of four years of related experience
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
Licenses and Certifications
Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
Requires County Driving Privileges
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in a related field
