Kitchen Assistant

Cascade Christian Schools, a high-quality, independent, interdenominational school system, is accepting applications for a Kitchen Assistant at our Puyallup Early Learning Center. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare food and serve school lunches within designated timelines
• Assist Kitchen Manager with receiving food orders and re-stocking shelves
• Assist Kitchen Manager with daily starting and closing procedures
• Ensure all regulations related to food handling are followed
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the school kitchen
• Implement predetermined lesson plan and manage the classroom while the teacher is on break
• Work in a manner that reflects the character of Jesus
• Walk in humility – a servant leader

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be a high school graduate or have completed GED
• Must have current food handler’s permit
• Must be able to lift 35-40 lbs.
• Has prior job-related experience
• Has excellent customer service and a positive attitude
• Is an independent worker
• Is flexible
• Demonstrates an attitude of support and encouragement
• Can participate in yearly regulatory training
• Can complete a successful background check

WORK HOURS:

Start Date: August 18, 2025

Monday through Friday; 9:00am - 4:30pm

SALARY RANGE:

$17.50-$20.25, Depending on Experience
