Lead Environmental Services Technician

Gritman Medical Center is seeking a Lead EVS Technician to oversee daily environmental services operations and ensure our hospital facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and staff. This position plays a key role in maintaining high cleanliness standards, coordinating staff, and assisting with training, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.

• Conduct facility walkthroughs to assess needs and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborate with the EVS Director for daily planning and updates.
• Monitor supply and equipment closets for organization and stocking.
• Assign tasks to staff to maintain efficiency and workflow.
• Plan and coordinate floor projects for evening and graveyard shifts.
• Assist in meeting room setups and deep cleaning projects.
• Support hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
• Ensure compliance with hospital cleaning protocols and safety regulations.

• Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience : Previous leadership experience in environmental services, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred. Hospital cleaning experience is a plus.
• Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Licenses/Certifications : Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance for travel between sites.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (equipment, supplies, trash, laundry).
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and pushing/pulling carts, bins, and cleaning equipment.
• Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks when required.
