Maintenance Mechanic/Welder Key Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on machinery, tools, and equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Fabricate and weld metal components using MIG and stick welding techniques. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs. Operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and welding. Proficiency in MIG and stick welding. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $80000.00/yr. union after 60 days - local 56 401k health dental vision accrued sick pay PTO and vacation (after 6months) Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Clifton,NJ.
