A day in the life...
As the Supervisor, a passionate and driven individual assisting with leading our maintenance operations and help us continue to provide exceptional service to our customers. Provide day-to-day management and training of field staff, including employee selection and development, field training, and safety. This individual will also lead operational efforts, managing costs while ensuring superior customer satisfaction.
The Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Development.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure that all guest room FFE functions as intended through preventative and routine maintenance.
- Ensure that the condition of all guest areas reflects our goal of providing Extraordinary Coastal Experiences through frequent inspections.
- Work with maintenance teams to coach and train them in identifying and reporting issues through the proper channels so that they can be addressed by engineering before they impact guests.
- Respond promptly to guest calls, coaching and training team members to address common quick-fix issues themselves when needed.
- Utilize the work order and ticketing systems to maximize team member productivity and reduce/eliminate downtime.
- Participate in screening and interviewing candidates to find the right fit person based on skillset and team dynamics.
- Assist in screening, interviewing, and hiring new team members. Participate in creating a robust onboarding program that equips new hires with essential skills, both in guest service and technical maintenance.
- Offer constructive feedback to team members, recognizing successes and addressing areas for improvement. Encourage growth and foster a positive, supportive work environment.
- Lead and promote new initiatives, ensuring consistent execution and delivery of existing programs and systems. Aligning the team with the core values of Noble House through regular coaching and reinforcement.
- Assist in regular inventories that are taken to keep the right supplies on hand and minimize emergency purchases.
- Work with vendors to ensure timely completion/downtime for equipment and minimize cost whenever possible.
- Work with the D.O.D to schedule major purchases and manage departmental expenses in line with budgetary guidelines.
- Work to execute communication and service delivery systems to maximize inter-departmental collaboration.
- Prepare purchase orders, ensure proper coding for management approval, and process invoices promptly.
- Assist in scheduling and approving team member timecards, ensuring alignment with departmental needs and labor laws.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 to 4 years of related experience in engineering or facilities management, or a combination of education and experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train, demonstrate, and coach team members effectively.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and Maintenance Mathematics.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities..
