Our client, a long-standing nonprofit hospitality organization based in Chelsea, is seeking a Front Desk Agents to join their team in a temp-to-perm capacity. $18/hr
Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent will serve as the first point of contact for all guests, ensuring smooth check-ins, clear communication, and overall satisfaction. The ideal Front Desk Agent is reliable, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment with rotating shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a service-driven and people-focused team. The schedule consists of rotating shifts (7 AM to 3 PM, 3 PM to 11 PM, and 11 PM to 7 AM), five days a week.
Responsibilities of the Front Desk Agent:
- Greet guests, issue room keys, and explain accommodations and policies.
- Handle reservations via phone, online platforms, and in person.
- Process payments and prepare accurate daily shift reports.
- Respond to guest inquiries, special requests, and escalated concerns.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to fulfill guest needs.
- Use booking platforms (Booking.com, Expedia) and in-house systems.
- Provide basic local recommendations to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain front desk cleanliness and organization.
- Monitor visitor log-in process and follow emergency procedures.
- Serve as a dependable and consistent Front Desk Agent across all shifts.
Required Experience/Skills for the Front Desk Agent:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Friendly, proactive communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Comfortable with rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Front Desk Agent:
- Familiarity with hotel reservation software or booking platforms.
- Interest in working with a nonprofit or mission-based hospitality team.
- Experience as a Front Desk Agent in a high-traffic guest setting.
- A calm composed demeanor and service-oriented mindset.
- Occasional overtime opportunities available.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
