What is the day-to-day:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on process and mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root causes and implement timely solutions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies that optimize operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to carry out specialized repairs and installations as required.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging by actively participating in team initiatives and contributing to a positive work environment.
Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair within a commercial or industrial facility.
- Proficient knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- A strong commitment to safety and adhering to all applicable regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or relevant trade qualifications in mechanical systems or a related field.
- Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
