Position Summary:
The Groundskeeper/Floor Tech is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of indoor floors and outdoor grounds. This hybrid role includes floor care duties such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning, as well as groundskeeping tasks like mowing, trimming, and debris removal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Floor Technician Duties:
Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff hard-surface floors using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
Clean and maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, and extraction methods.
Operate floor care machinery such as auto scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers.
Monitor floor conditions and address spills or hazards promptly.
Follow proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Maintain floor care supply inventory and notify supervisor of needed items.
Groundskeeper Duties:
Mow, trim, edge, and water lawns and landscaped areas.
Plant, prune, and remove trees, shrubs, and flowers as needed.
Remove trash, debris, leaves, and snow from walkways and outdoor areas.
Inspect and maintain outdoor equipment and tools.
Report any property damage, safety hazards, or pest issues to management.
Schedule:
