This position is also responsible for washing dishes, china, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment, etc., and maintaining the kitchen, dishwashing and back area in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with local authorities and hotel guidelines./ppstrongDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/pulliEnsure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times./liliEnsure floors are dry and clean at all times, using appropriate safety signage when necessary./liliOperate dishwashing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards./liliAdhere to all sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment./liliAssist the culinary and serving staff as, and when, necessary./liliCollects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures./liliDispose of waste as per the hotel and authority standards and adhere to recycling guidelines./liliEnsure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy./liliCarry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers/liliClean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures./liliClean and maintain floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures./liliClean large equipment as assigned, following established procedures./liliConsistently adhere to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace./liliKnowledge and proficiency in operating industrial dish washing equipment./liliEnsure all equipment is clean and in good working order./liliCheck all chemical levels and inventory./liliWash, wipe, sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner./liliRemove any breakage or chipped items found from circulation and update the breakage and inventory register./liliClean, sanitize and close workstations./liliUse and maintain all equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines./liliReport any maintenance or hazard issues to the chief steward / stewarding manager./liliAssist in light food preparation as directed by manager or chef on duty./liliThe Kitchen Steward, upon demonstrated job performance excellence, will be considered for numerous growth opportunities./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliPrevious experience as a Dishwasher or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory./liliBasic knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices./liliPhysical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks./liliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure./liliExcellent attention to detail, ensuring that dishes and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized./liliStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members./liliFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the needs of the restaurant./li/ulpstrongBenefits:/strong/pulliCompetitive Pay Shift Meal - 401k with matching - Dining and lodging discounts/li/ulpstrongWhy join us?/strongbr /strongWhat we offer:/strong Dynamic Team Environments -Diversity in the Workplace - Inspirational Work Culture -Innovative Culinary Practices - Competitive Compensation Benefits - Career Path Growthbr /strongRequirements:/strong Passion for culinary excellence.
