Position Overview:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items, primarily using the grill and other kitchen equipment. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food is cooked to order, meeting high standards of quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction. The Cook will also maintain cleanliness andanization of the grill station while ensuring adnce to food safety and sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking:

Prepare and cook all menu items.

Operate the grill, griddle, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to cook food items to order.

Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked correctly and consistently.

Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food.

Maintain cleanliness andanization of the grill station, ensuring all ingredients and tools are readily available.

Team Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared quickly, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Communicate effectively with the team to ensure orders are prepared accurately and promptly, especially during peak breakfast hours.

Assist in training new staff on grill operations, food preparation, and safety procedures.

Food Safety & Sanitation:

Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature checks.

Keep the grill station and kitchen clean by regularly sanitizing surfaces, tools, and equipment.

Ad to local health department regulations to ensure food safety practices are consistently followed.

Monitor food storage areas to ensure food items are stored properly and in a sanitary manner.

Customer Service Support:

Ensure food items are prepared to customer specifications, maintaining quality, taste, and presentation.

Assist in addressing any customer concerns regarding food preparation or quality, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Work efficiently to meet demand during busy breakfast hours, ensuring orders are served promptly.

Inventory & Supplies Management:

Assist in managing inventory levels for breakfast ingredients, ensuring the necessary supplies are available for daily operations.

Notify the Food Service Manager when inventory is low or when issues with food supplies arise.

monitor waste by following portion control guidelines and ensuring efficient use of ingredients.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure the cleanliness andanization of the grill station and kitchen, adhering to all safety standards.

Follow all safety guidelines when handling hot equipment and food to prevent accidents or injuries.

Maintain accurate logs for temperature checks and food safety practices as required by health regulations.

Operational Efficiency:

Prepare food in a timely manner, ensuring orders arepleted efficiently and accurately.

Organize the grill station to minimize downtime and ensure quick and easy access to all necessary ingredients and equipment.

Work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally).

Ability to work with hot grills, griddles, and other kitchen equipment safely.

Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment during peak breakfast hours.

Must have previous experience.

PAY:

$15-$20 an hour depending on experience

HOURS:

Must be able to work one weekend day. Hours will be discussed during the interview.

Pay Details: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour
