The Guest Services Associate is responsible the with the day-to-day care taking, hospitality services, and maintenance of the designated FTI location. This includes managing events, menu options and onsite hospitality. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with guests and effectively collaborate with colleagues. Must have strong planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities to successfully execute plans and achieve desired results. Additionally, having flexibility to adjust focus as the unexpected can arise, creativity in troubleshooting and/or guest services to leave a positive lasting impression, and ability to delegate are desired skills for this role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 1+ years of hospitality/guest service experience preferred. or Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management. Work Schedule: Schedule may vary and can include but is not limited to: nights and weekends. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees and executes catering development, strategic menu planning, and event hospitality services. Oversees and executes the process of catering services for each event and/or prepares meals, snacks, and beverages. Looks for ways to enhance existing operations and guest experience. Oversees relationship with housekeeping staff, creates cleaning and maintenance schedules, ensures facility is in best shape before, during, and after guest arrival, and fills in as needed on housekeeping duties. Oversees and plans food inventory, fosters relationships with external vendors. Oversees the process of maintaining an inventory of supplies for guests, facility housekeeping and maintenance, groceries, bar and alcohol supplies, office supplies, etc. Prepares invoices, reports, emails, letters, and other documents. Works closely with Guest Services Manager, assisting with back-up on event scheduling, Touch-Stay, email communications, etc. Oversees and ensures general aesthetics of the building and ensures a clean and organized facility, including organizing cabinetry and shelving to meet guest expectations and needs. Maintains a positive attitude and provides a warm, hospitable, and welcoming feel for all customers throughout events, provides tours and facility/property information as requested, and implements improvements to the process as suggested and necessary. Works with the marketing team or local vendors to order gifts/gift baskets for guests. Provides special accommodations for guests as needed, such as ADA requirements, food allergies, and other important guest preferences. Works with local vendors to promote FTI in the community. Ensures a clean, safe, and workable kitchen area. Facilitates guest needs (within reason). Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
