Roles and Responsibilities
- Performing technical work specific to electrical, equipment review, etc. Sign off on engineering design & certifications. Work with external vendors. This could include civil, electrical, or other engineering specialty skill sets.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- Lead the design, engineering and troubleshooting of site projects that can include all disciplines.
- Creation and maintaining of Project Management Processes including defined scope of work for projects.
- Lead projects through schematic, design engineering, financials, bidding, construction and project closeout.
- Manage project financials and schedules.
- Manage projects using outside vendors and internal resources to execute projects
- Specify needs, communicate about project approach and present outcomes of research done.
- Partner with business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop new solutions to meet business needs.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize robot control systems, kilns and furnaces including PLCs, HMIs and motion control interfaces.
- Upgrading current equipment and automation processes.
- Draft controls documents, schematics and drawings for use by technicians to aid in trouble shooting.
- Create training documents along with instructional sessions with technicians to continue growth and development.
- Work cohesively with a design teams, vendors, controls engineers, and other outside resources to develop working concept that meets internal process requirements.
- Able to manage multiple projects

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (specific) experience + minimum of 3 years (specific) experience
- 4 years of facility, maintenance, and manufacturing experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Strong electrical background including PLC, HMI, controls, & schematics
- good Mechanical knowledge
- Ability to design, draft and teach curriculum to maintenance personnel
- As needed, available to work extended or flexible schedule on short notice
