Lakeview's Full Time Server oversees the daily greeting, reservation, and service process for the residents and guests in Lakeview Village Dining Rooms in a professional manner. Contributes to the residents' quality of life by providing optimal choices and caring services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates, models, and maintains a high level of service and hospitality in a team-oriented setting.
- Works closely with the Servers and Hosts to ensure that all opening and closing duties are completed, as posted in the dining room and/or service areas.
- Provides a variety of services in the assigned dining room including, but not limited to: service to the residents, families, and guests, preparing and fulfilling orders for pick-up and delivery, cleaning, organizing, and restocking.
- Ensures that incidents, equipment failures, or malfunctions are reported to the appropriate individual in a timely manner.
- Ensures timely and efficient dining room operations by utilizing reservation sheets, seating charts, and service schedules.
- Provides direction and assistance for Servers during meal service in order to maintain a high level of service and resident satisfaction.
- Supports the Dining Room Manager during the Server and Host training process.
- Demonstrates a full understanding of the items on the menu each shift, ensures that residents', families', and guests' questions are appropriately answered.
- Documents all mealtime transactions with residents and guests, according to established policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of departmental and dining room operational policies, procedures, and etiquette.
- Maintains proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures.
- Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of proper small wares handling, sanitation, food borne illness, and cross-contamination policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and other departments within the facility, to ensure that Dining Service programs can be properly maintained to meet the needs of facility and residents.
- Ensures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner for resident comfort and convenience.
- Ensures that work/assignment areas are clean, cared for, properly maintained, and free of equipment, supplies, etc. before leaving.
- Ensures that Resident's Rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to express grievances are followed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 6 months of restaurant serving or food service experience are required.
- Has a working knowledge of every resident that frequently attends assigned Lakeview dining room, makes an effort to learn the names of new residents.
- Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of all Front-of-House opening and closing procedures.
- Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with fluent understanding of English.
- Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of the use of HACCP and OSHA protocols.
- Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of the use of cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials.
- Possesses basic mathematical skills and is detail-oriented.
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as assigned.
- Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
- Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
