Dishwasher

The Dishwasher/Steward is responsible for loading and unloading of dishwashers, cleaning the kitchen and food preparation areas, and following health and safety regulations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional exposure to outdoors, odors, noise, heat, steam, in/out walk-in freezer, cleaning chemicals, and detergent. Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding, knife skills) throughout shift. On feet the entire shift, lifting up to 20lb often and 45lb occasionally.

General responsibilities when working a Dishwasher job assignment can include:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and or kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machine, ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes
• Hand wash specific items according to assigned procedures
• Store and restock clean kitchenware
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock, transfer cleaning supplies between storage and work area
• Keep a clean and orderly workstation
• Comply with all sanitation and safety policies and procedures
• Wash work tables and other food prep areas to cleanliness standards
