The Expo/Food Runner is essential in maintaining the flow between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that food is prepared, presented, and delivered to guests with speed and accuracy. You will be the final checkpoint for quality and the friendly face delivering meals to the table.
Pay Scale:
$19-$21
We offer:
100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b - 20+ hours per week) - We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate and organize food orders from the kitchen to ensure accuracy, presentation, and timely delivery.
Act as a communication bridge between kitchen staff and the front-of-house team to manage ticket times and special requests.
Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring all items are correct and complete.
Describe dishes to guests when needed and accommodate special dietary or service requests.
Assist with minor food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff (e.g., garnishing plates, portioning sauces, assembling sides).
Bag and organize takeout orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all items are included and properly packaged.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line and service areas.
Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables, refilling drinks, and supporting overall guest satisfaction.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Active Food Handler's card or ability to obtain.
Previous experience as an Expo in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred.
Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to stay organized and calm under pressure.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
A team player with a passion for great service and attention to detail.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
Courteous, gracious, and tactful. Pleasant, cheerful and service-oriented.
Genuine interest in working with older adults.
Ability to work well with others; team-oriented.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Neat and professional in appearance.
Required to work a minimum of two weekend days per month.
Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance.
Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written.
